Description

The current.gitpod.ymlfile for the Meshery.io repository does not automatically ensure the required Ruby version is installed, leading to errors during environment setup and has to manually install which defeats the purpose of automated dev setup. This affects the developer experience and slows down onboarding for new contributors.

Error Encountered

When starting a Gitpod workspace, the following error occurs:

gitpod error

Environment:

  • OS: Mac Linux Windows
  • Browser: Chrome Safari Firefox
  • Version:
  • Device: Desktop Mobile

Contributor Guides and Handbook
